Hello everybody, this is the Cloud Master.

Today, I'll like to tell everybody about your benefits in the Seoul concert and Singapore concert which everybody is so concerned about.

First of all, it's the first of Rain's World Concert Tour, held in Seoul at the Olympic Park Stadium on the 14th and 15th December.

Benefits to official fanclub members in the Seoul Concert.

Official fanclub members of Rain can follow the below date and instructions to purchase tickets on a first come first serve basis before the tickets go on public sale.

For the Seoul concert, fans can pre-purchase tickets on the 31st Oct and 1st Nov. There will not be additional dates other than these two days.
Tickets cannot be cancelled past the official announced date for ticket cancellation.
Please take note of this point.

Please take note of the following content carefully. We hope everybody can enjoy the benefits of being an official Rain fanclub member:

First and foremost, below message is from the organiser, Star M, and the Supervising company, Net Work Live:

"Very grateful to fans who have been waiting for the pre-order. We're also very that the content of our announcement has been changing. The cost of the concert has increased due to changes in stage design and systems. It is with little choice that we raise the ticket prices. We hope to obtain your understanding:

1. Fan-Assigned Sections
- Rain section- 1st floor (floor standing): 1500 tickets
- Rain section- 2nd floor (sitting), section 11 front-facing: 128 tickets
These sections are especially for those who hope to have a seat.

2. Special Discount for Members
- Ticket price for Rain section: 160,000 won (excludes 10% tax)
- After tax it's 176,000 won (160,000 won + 16,000 won). Members get a 10% discount.

1. Korean Residents
- Phase 4 Clouds, Phase 5 Clouds of the Korean fanclub only needs to pay 158,400 won after 10% discount. You can pay via i-banking.

2. Overseas Members
- International fanclub "The Cloud" and the Japanese fanclub, Cloud Japan will need to pay 3.8% credit card charges and 5% internet transaction fees in addition to discounted price of 158,400 won. That maks 158,400 won + 5% + 3.8% =174,000 won.

*The internet transaction fee is paid to the website company of JYPE AHEBU. Overseas Clouds will beed to pay about 150% of handling charges if they choose to pay using i-banking. Hence, JYPE has decided to use the same method employed during Cloud Registration for payment. The additional 5% fee is because previously during the Cloud registration, the sum collected were membership fees, which were non-profit in nature. However, the concept this time is different. Hence, the additional 5% is a choice made by JYPE in view of lessening the amount payable for everybody. We hope the overseas members can understand this.

3. Seat Sections
- The 1,500 seats in section 1 and section 2 are allocated in this manner:
Phase 4 Clouds, Phase 5 Clouds, The Cloud, Cloud Japan
- We will accept other applications on the 128 seats on level 2
The seats in this section is based on first come first serve, like the other time.

However, there are not many floor seats as the Singapore organiser has only apportioned 200 seats to official fanclub members. We hope to get your understanding on this.

Presently, there are 109 Singapore Cloud members.
In the 200 seats mentioned above, 109 seats will be apportioned to these members.
The remaining 91 seats will be apportioned to Cloud Korea and non-Singaporean members of The Cloud.

In the diagram below, there are 100 seats in each of the two categories. Phase 5 Clouds and Singapore Clouds will enjoy the same privileges. The remaining seats will then be apportioned to the rest of the countries in The Cloud. (We are still in the midst of discussing details. More information will be released along with purchase details)
(With regards to Cloud Japan members, because the number of seats in the Singapore concert is too little, so we are unable to give you benefits. We apologise for this)

The ticket order on 30th Oct is only open to Singapore Clouds. The rest of the tickets will go for pre-ordering on the 11th November.

'Anti-fans' force managers to increase stars' security

Overzealous attention from obsessive fans is something that celebrities have to endure. But the recent attack on popular Korean boy band member U-know with a glue-laden drink has startled Korea's entertainment world.

What alarms entertainers and their managers is that incidents aimed at actors have become more common and life-threatening.

What was once written off as a simple prank from young "anti-fans" has become a threat to the health and lives of performers. Most celebrity agencies now view the situation as so alarming that they have reportedly told their stars "not to eat or drink anything other than what their agents provide them".

A staffer from an entertainment agency, who talked on the condition he not be identified, said he never delivered gifts of food or drink sent by fans because he was afraid some of them could be poisoned.

It has taken time for the entertainment industry to move up to such draconian measures.

In 2000, the actress Yoon Eun-hye was attacked by a male anti-fan who shot her in the eyes with a water gun filled with a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar. Her agency claimed that the suspect must have wanted to blind her, but she refused to report him to the police after she discovered her injuries were minor.
In the same year, another anti-fan sent a detergent-laden drink to the home of one the boy-band stars. It was disguised as a gift. The singer did not drink it, but one of his family member did, and was hospitalized after complaining of severe stomach pains.

Gan Mi-yeon, a member of the all-girl pop band Baby VOX, went to the police for help in 1999 after she received an envelope full of razor blades. A rumor had spread that she was dating Moon Hui-jun, a singer from the male dance group H.O.T. Apparently, one of his younger fans sent her the envelope out of jealousy.
The singer Lee Jeong-hyeon received text messages threatening that she would be "killed if you meet him". "He" was the singer Jo Sung-mo, who starred with her in a television commercial as a dating couple.

The case of a veteran singer, Na Hun-a, was even more serious. He was slashed with a knife on his cheek while he was singing on stage. He still has a scar left on his left cheek.

The actress Do Ji-won was kidnapped by a fanatic fan and confined inside a car trunk for five hours.

For some time now, the agencies say, the only safe way to prevent such attacks is to keep their stars far out of reach of their fans.

Rain, Won Bin, Kang Dong-won Join Hands (2006/10/11)Hallyu stars Rain, Won Bin, Kang Don-won, Soo-ae and Han Chae-young will set up a joint sales office at the 11th Pusan International Film Festival.

Star-J Entertainment said October 11 that four talent management agencies that manage big hallyu stars, including JYP Entertainment, Dream East On and The Man, will set up a joint sales office at the festival.

The Asian Film Market, which will debut this year, will create opportunities to share information about popular actors aside from just buying and selling films.

Influential talent management agencies from both Korea and abroad are expected to install booths at the festival to promote their actors.

A person from Star-J Entertainment said that promotional activities of hallyu stars overseas that were unofficially held so far had multiple negative effects, but this event will hopefully pave the way for official and transparent business.

The sales office will be open October 15 through 18.

Rain’s World Premier Tour Begins in Seoul - The Korea Times 10-Oct-2006

Rain, known as Pi in Korean, is undoubtedly one of the biggest K-pop stars nowadays. It’s no wonder that around 40,000 fans, with almost a fourth from other countries, are expected to attend the premiere of his world concert tour at Jamsil Stadium, Seoul on Friday.

Fans from Japan, China, United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are expected to show their support for Rain.

The free concert coincides with the release of Rain’s fourth album on Friday. Rain gained popularity also as an actor throughout Asia in the hit drama ``Full House.’’

Rica Valera, a caterer from Manila, Philippines, is traveling to Seoul with a bunch of friends to watch the concert. She and her friends arranged their Korean vacation to coincide with Rain’s concert.

``I have seen Rain perform live in Hong Kong for his showcase and in Bangkok for the last leg of his Rainy Day Tour and he exceeded all expectations. I'm just hoping to see him enjoy his performance. I don’t want to be stressed and pressured by placing high expectations on Rain,’’ Valera told The Korea Times.

Gina Wong, an accounts executive from Singapore, said she is looking forward to a great performance by Rain. ``I’m not sure what to expect, but I know Rain will be great,’’ she said.

The Oct. 13 concert is seen as a preview for Rain’s upcoming world tour ``Rain’s Coming,’’ which will officially kick off in Seoul on Dec. 15 (www.rainworldtour.com). He is expected to perform songs from his latest album.

For his concert, Rain has tapped prominent concert production people such as stage director Jaime King, who has choreographed dance moves for Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera; lighting specialist Roy Bennett; and visual director Dago Gonzalez.

StarM, the entertainment agency organizing the concert, has even coordinated with travel agencies from different countries to make it easier for fans to come to Korea and watch the show.

The price of the Rain concert package tours varies. For instance in Hong Kong, a travel agency is offering a special Rain concert package which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, VIP tickets to the concert and a tour of the ``Full House’’ set, for HK$4,599 or roughly 560,000 won.

In Japan, there is a special dinner and concert package for 148,000 yen or roughly 1.19 million won, and a concert-only package which starts a 84,000 yen or 675,000 won.

The show will start at 7 p.m., with opening acts Paran, Popin Hyungjoon, NOW and Lim Jeong-hee.

Next year, Rain is expected to take his concert tour to 35 cities in 12 countries, namely the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Rain is also quite busy these days, after finishing his first movie ``Cyborg Girl’’ directed by Park Chan-wook. He is also preparing an English album to be released in the U.S. next year.

Last February, he held two sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He was also named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World this year.

No Rest for the Busy Bi

Lantern Festival, Final Showcase Rehearsal

Asian Star, Rain, has finally completed his preparation work for the 4th album launch. He is presently sweating to prepar for his World Tour Premier.

Rain will be holding the press conference for his fourth album on the 11th of this month. He will be disclosing some news on the songs in his 4th album which is soon to be released on the 13th of this month, as well as the concepts of his World Concert Tour.

Rain, who had been thinking about his stage concepts whenever he had a break from filming his first movie, "I'm a Cyborg, but it's Ok" formally commence preparation for his stage performance during end-August, when filming of the movie finally came to a conclusion. Mid-September, he flew to LA for half a month, where he completed his dance practise and stage setup with Jamie King.

Right after US, he flew to Hong Kong to attend the branch opening ceremony of DHC, the makeup brand which he is endorsing. Thereafter, he has been throwing himself into the preparation for his World Concert Tour. Even for the Autumn festival, he merely had a simple ceremonial celebration with his family on the day itself before continuing with his practise.
